Dwayne

Dwayne is one of the of the owner/operators of Evolve Hygienic Engineering. Out of school, Dwayne quickly progressed through and completed his Sheet Metal Apprenticeship. He started out working for a small engineering firm and went onto contracting in various forms to a select few companies which took him all around New Zealand as well as overseas to work on some of the largest engineering projects in the south Pacific. Prior to joining Evolve Dwayne went from Area manager to South Island manager then Major capital projects manager for NDA Site Services. After the decades of long hours and frequent travel through work he decided that a better work/life balance was overdue. This is when the decision was made to buy into Evolve. This allows him to have more control of his life and spend more time with his wife and 7 children.

Marty

Marty is one of the original founders of Evolve. He completed his Sheet Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship at the same time as Dwayne meeting each other during trade course commitments. Marty worked for a Christchurch company constructing HVAC systems for large buildings. Marty has worked as contract supervisor for Total span, following a promotion he helped the franchise grow to be the brands most profitable franchise in New Zealand within 1 1/2 years. Marty, now being founder and part owner of Evolve Hygienic Engineering, has grown the company from nothing into a powerhouse, working with some of the best in the business. He is extremely proud of the company and how far its has come and is excited to see where the businesses continuous growth leads him next. In amongst his busy schedule of fabricating, meeting with customers and organising the team he likes to spend time with his wife and 2 children. Every now and again he treasures his getaways to the lakes where he is either on his jet ski, motorbike or on down by the water enjoying a nice cold beer.

Mike

Mike’s our foreman with an incredible eye for detail. He has lived and breathed engineering and fabrication ever since he was a young boy, spending countless after school hours sweeping floors and hanging out with his dad at his dads workshop. After finishing trade school he went onto spend 5years working on commercial swimming pools, then onto an 8year stint at a custom fabrication outfit here in Christchurch. Mike’s now a valued member of our Evolve team and spends his after work hours out in nature, hunting and fishing with his dogs or in his shed at home working on cars.

 
 

Jack

Jack is one of our most experienced site members, the past years he’s been on some of our most high pressure shutdown projects. As well as being a great Stainless fabricator another of Jacks strengths is working on Customer sites and ensuring permit to work, Isolations are correctly maintained to ensure the safety of the workers. Jack experience in hydrostatic testing and documenting results of large industrial steam heat exchanges is also a key asset. Jack spends his spare time running his Labradors Luna and Leo, Playing cricket and socializing with mates

 
 

Cam

Cam is in his 3rd year of his Fabrication apprentice. Since leaving school he’s worked for Evolve, learning, earning and just being a top bloke. Cam has recently purchased a Nissan Patrol “Mud Truck” and spends his weekends getting stuck, unstuck and stuck again at the local rivers, while trying to catch some fish.

 
 

Gilbert

Gilbert has been with Evolve since 2021. Gilbert was born in the Philippines’’’ and immigrated to New Zealand in 2011 prior to his wife and 2 children joining him in 2015. Between 2006 and 2008 Gilbert worked in Japan as a fabricator welder then moved to Qatar in 2008 where he done mixed fab and learnt to Tig weld. Gilbert is a very capable fabricator and takes complex tasks in his stride. Gilbert is only a few degrees separation from the late great Elvis Presley and is known to be mistaken for the King when in Karaoke mode.

 
 

Lainie

Lainie is married to Dwayne and is mum to 3 and step mum to 4. After finishing high school she worked in the pharmacy industry for 20 years before starting a family. Now the kids are well established in school she’s joined the team at Evolve preforming general office duties. Lainie spends her spare time running the family, spending time with friends and chilling at the hydro lakes in the Makenzie bason.
